Were it not for God’s
Mercy, holy oil of grace
Poured like soothing balm
Self-sabotaging choices
Decisions maggot-ridden
Sin-life’s leprous wounds
Would have put soul in Sheol…
Savior paid ransom
Robed me in His righteousness
Calls me “beloved”
